Time of day affects the entire look of your photos. Light and airy? Aim for 3–5 hours before sunset. Moodier tones? 1–2 hours before sunset. Closer to night fall the moodier.

For studio sessions, 11 AM–3 PM gives soft, bright light. Once your session is booked, if we decide a different time fits better, I’ll suggest it—no extra charge.

It really depends on your vision! Outdoor sessions are beautiful year-round—especially in the fall and early winter before it gets too cold. Think: golden leaves, cozy textures, and soft skies. Spring brings wildflowers, farmers markets, open fields, and fresh greens. Water, woods, greenhouses—there’s so much natural beauty to work with in East Texas.


That said, the studio is an amazing option too—especially during the rainy season or when it’s freezing or blazing hot. You’ll stay comfortable, makeup won’t melt, kids stay happy, and there’s even a dressing room. It’s calm, easy, and gives a clean, timeless look.

If the weather isn’t working with us (rain, storms, etc.) and we both agree to reschedule, we’ll pick a new date that works for us both—no extra fees and no stress. It happens, and we’ll roll with it!
